The E. Matilda Ziegler Foundation for the Blind, Inc. is pleased to announce for 2021, 6 new one-time research grants were awarded totaling $800,000 to:

Safal Khanal, OD, PhD, FAAO, Assistant Professor, University of Alabama at Birmingham

Kazuhiro Kurokawa, PhD, Assistant Scientist, Devers Eye Institute

Liang Liang, PhD, Assistant Professor, Yale University School of Medicine

Joel B. Miesfeld, PhD, Assistant Professor, The Medical College of Wisconsin

Carlos R. Ponce, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor, Harvard Medical School

The Foundation also awarded a 2021 grant for $150,000 to The Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Inc.
