“Circuit mechanisms underlying sleep-dependent plasticity in visual cortex”

We are interested in mapping the neural circuitry that underlies fundamental behaviors, like sleep, and determining how these circuits and behaviors affect higher order processing in cortical networks. One area of focus is in identifying how changes in sleep and arousal impact encoding of information in visual cortex, including facilitating plasticity in response to associative learning.
