The E. Matilda Ziegler Foundation for the Blind, Inc. is pleased to announce for 2016, three new 3-year research grants were awarded totaling $720,000 to Leo Kim, PhD, Assistant Professor, Ophthalmology, Harvard University; Rajesh Rao, MD, Assistant Professor, Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences, University of Michigan; Jason Shepherd, PhD, Assistant Professor, Neurobiology and Anatomy, University of Utah School of Medicine. The Foundation also awarded a one-time grant for $100,000 to Kira Poskanzer, PhD, Assistant Professor, Biochemistry & Biophysics, University of California, San Francisco.
